There are 2 positions currently available:

Scientist, Cancer Biology & Therapeutic Development

We are looking for a Scientist to join our growing multi-disciplinary and dynamic team. This position represents an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take a key role in the discovery and development of an early stage oncolytic virus product through to clinical application. The successful applicant will be working in a fast-paced environment with a team of scientists to design and execute experiments at the interface of cancer and virology and to deliver strategic research and development goals.

Role:

  • Application of Theolytics Platform to the development of a new oncolytic virus for solid cancer.
  • Prioritisation of workloads and coordination of scientific work streams and processes.
  • Contribution to a range of key strategic documents including: reports and presentations, patent applications, and regulatory filings.

Criteria:

  • A PhD in Cancer Biology, Immunology, Virology  or similar discipline.
  • Competence in various cell culture techniques (including primary cells) and characterisation of cell types by flow cytometry.
  • Basic molecular biology/biochemistry skills (eg. DNA/RNA extraction and quantitation, PCR, qPCR, ELISA.)

Senior Scientist, Cancer Biology & Therapeutic Development

The candidate must be able to prioritise and manage multiple research activities, and possess a broad range of technical expertise and knowledge in cancer biology, immunology and virology. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, has excellent communication skills, can interact with a diverse group of scientific disciplines and is happy to jump in when required in what will be an exciting work environment.

Role:

  • Application of Theolytics Platform to the development of a new oncolytic virus for solid cancer.
  • Design, execution and documentation of research and development projects.
  • Management and training of scientists and lab technicians.

Criteria:

  • A PhD in Cancer Biology, Immunology, Virology  or similar discipline, with at least 2-3 years postdoctoral research or industry experience.
  • A track record in managing projects and supervising junior scientists.
  • Experience of primary tumour handling, processing and characterisation of cell types by flow cytometry.
  • Experience in  designing and developing new assays.
