Theolytics is a University of Oxford spin-out company, backed by Oxford Sciences Innovation (OSI), working to develop curative cancer therapies by harnessing the power of viruses to combat cancer. A step-change in the oncolytic viral therapy field, their Platform enables the discovery and development of efficacious, targeted candidates suitable for intravenous delivery and optimised for a chosen patient population.

The Theolytics team combine world-leading scientific expertise – encompassing virology, cancer biology, immunology, bioinformatics, and molecular biology – with a track record of translating oncolytic viral therapies into the clinic.

Theolytics is looking for a Scientist to join their growing multidisciplinary team, and to take a central role in protecting the Intellectual Property Portfolio of the company. This position represents an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take a key role in the discovery and development of an early-stage oncolytic virus product through to clinical application.

The successful applicant will be working in a fast-paced environment with a team of scientists to design and execute experiments and to deliver strategic research and development goals. The candidate must be a proactive, organised individual and possess a range of technical expertise and knowledge in cancer biology, immunology or virology.

The company is looking for someone who is a self-starter, has excellent communication skills, can interact with a diverse group of scientific disciplines and is happy to jump in when required in what will be an exciting work environment.
