He holds the prestigious Climax Professorship of Clinical Therapeutics and is the Director of the Oxford Clinical Trials Research Unit (OCTRU). His extensive background includes medical training at Oxford University, clinical roles in London, and leadership positions at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Professor Richards is well-regarded for his expertise in translational medicine and contributions to advancing drug development through early-phase clinical trials.
