Evolvere Biosciences, a start-up led by students from the University of Oxford, is driven by a mission to develop future-proof antibiotics that have the potential to revolutionise the fight against bacterial infections.

The team of biochemists and evolutionary biologists has been using their expertise in computational models to develop next-generation antibiotics. Their aim is to create antibiotics that can outsmart bacterial evolution and accurately target pathogenic bacteria while preserving beneficial microbes and human cells.

In recognition of their innovative work, Evolvere Biosciences has been accepted into the Y Combinator program. As part of the program, they will receive crucial funding, enabling them to further propel their research and development efforts and gain valuable insights and advice.
