This strategic appointment comes at a pivotal time after the launch of the VISTA trial, the first dosing in patients of Infinitopes’ lead precision cancer vaccine candidate, ITOP1. ITOP1 is a therapeutic vaccine designed to prevent recurrence in oesophageal cancer – a major area of unmet clinical need.

Clinical-stage biotech Alchemab Therapeutics has extended its series A financing with a £25 million (USD $34m) investment from the British Business Bank – the Bank’s largest investment in a life sciences company to date. The funding will enable the company to build its clinical pipeline and grow its proprietary unique antibody dataset to more than a billion sequences.

The sun beat down in the June heatwave as our annual Pitch Battle took place recently, matching the fierce tenant competition to win the coveted Best Pitch prize, sponsored by The Oxford Science Park (TOSP). The Small But Mighty prize, open to our smaller tenants located in our shared Innovation Labs, was sponsored for the first time this year, by ThermoFisher Scientific. Creating a total prize pot of £3,500, the stakes were high as the event started.

Theolytics’ ongoing US phase 1 OCTOPOD-IP trial of THEO-260 in ovarian cancer to be presented as a trial in progress at ASCO 2026

THEO-260 is an oncolytic immunotherapy designed to effectively target cancer cells and cancer-associated fibroblasts while inducing immune activation in stroma-rich tumours. The US trial (OCTOPOD-IP) is exploring the safety and tolerability of intraperitoneal delivery of THEO-260 in high-grade serous or endometroid ovarian cancer.
Re-Aim Therapeutics launches with £7m seed financing

Proceeds to fund the advancement of the company’s lead programme, REA-001, a first-in-class monoclonal antibody that potently and selectively depletes pathogenic T cells for use in a range of autoimmune diseases.
