The BioEscalator Management Board offers our tenants access to world-class academic expertise and collaborative opportunities. This enables companies to leverage this knowledge to develop innovative ideas and technologies while also contributing to cutting-edge research at Oxford. The appointment of Professor Johansen-Berg further strengthens our commitment to maintaining a close integration between our community and the University of Oxford's exceptional innovation ecosystem.

Heidi Johansen-Berg, a Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Oxford, is a strong advocate of innovation. Her dedication is evident through her various roles at the university, including serving as Associate Head of the Medical Sciences Division, where she provides strategic leadership and support for research and innovation. Additionally, as Pro-Vice Chancellor for strategic initiatives, she leads cross-functional initiatives that drive transformation within the university.

As an academic leader at the interface of laboratory neuroscience and human health, Professor Johansen-Berg's expertise complements that of the other Board members, who have diverse backgrounds in neuromuscular diseases, cell and gene therapy, experimental medicine, medicinal chemistry, blood cancers, biomaterials, reproductive health, and vaccines.

Welcome to the Management Board, Professor Johansen-Berg!
