Stephanie Lesage, the CEO and Co-founder of Oxford Silk Phage Technologies is pictured holding the BioCap 2023 trophy.

Oxford Silk Phage Technologies has won the BioCap 2023 pitch competition, beating ten other finalists. The competition aimed to introduce life science businesses seeking £250k or more in funding to potential investors. Each participant had to present their company's overview and funding requirements in an eight-minute digital pitch to a panel of investors.

Despite facing tough competition, Oxford Silk Phage Technologies impressed the judges with its presentation, earning the top spot in the competition. Stephanie Lesage, the CEO of Oxford Silk Phage Technologies, expressed her happiness with the win, acknowledging the opportunity provided by Innovate UK KTN and LYVA Labs through the Microbials Accelerator programme, which the company was selected to be a part of earlier in the year.

I am delighted that Oxford Silk Phage Technologies has won the BioCap 2023 pitch competition! I want to express my gratitude to Innovate UK KTN and LYVA Labs for providing us with this opportunity through the Microbials Accelerator. This is fantastic news for the bacteriophage and antimicrobials industry.
